Bruce Thomas, award winning photographer will join Marlene Hoff from 100 Mile Foodie in her kitchen-garden to enjoy a champane & canape walk & talk around the garden then leave Bruce to deliver a very informative workshop on photograhy at twilight.

You will have the beautiful garden, chickens and food prepared by Marlene to enjoy photographing under the watchful eye of Bruce to produce a wonderful portfolio of photos for you to use for business or pleasure.

If your a small business wanting to learn more about photography for your own business needs or photography is a hobby which you would like to extend your knowledge to enjo it further then this is the workshop for you.

The Expert

Bruce Thomas, a chef by trade has always had a keen interesting in photography, this evolved into a passion after spending 3 months traveling around South America armed with his first digital camera in 2014. Upon his return Bruce joined a local camera club and after moderate success in his first attempt in a photographic competition took a course with a professional photographer to further his skills. After completing the course he has gone onto win multiple awards at various shows, including the open aggregate, the black and white aggregate, best local photographer and best print.

This year Bruce has had his work displayed in Copenhagen, Norway and Milan.

Bruce has been photographing wedding, engagements, as well as maternity and portraits shoots, and has been doing some work for a local real estate agent, photographing interiors and exteriors of houses and rural properties for their website, in the last week, Bruce won " The photographer of the year"

The Plan

Join me on the 9th of Feb and I will take you through the basics of camera control, get you off "auto" and shooting in the modes the pro's use and why they use them. Workshop will include lots of tips on getting sharper photos and all the settings needed for landscapes, sports/action, flowers, night time, portraits etc, will also include a practical session on photographing flowers and gardens, a Q & A session, and of course, lots of printed course notes (including websites and book references ) for you to refer back to, hope to see you there, bring your camera and if you have one a tripod.
