Seasonal Sunday lunches-March

LOCATION: 100 mile foodie 24 Chesterfield road Somerville 3912

Seasonal Sunday lunches will celebrate the season and of course the best day of the week, Sunday.

Held on the first Sunday of the month at 100 Mile Foodie HQ, the home of the newly built cooking school and event space we are so looking forward to sharing our passion, garden, chickens and space with you.

A local selection of the finest Mornington Peninsula and South Gippsland produce at its peak freshly harvested and sourced only hours before lunch from beautiful farmgates nearby.

My name is Marlene Hoff, Chef, teacher, passionate community advocate for local, sustainable and ethically farmed produce and owner of 100 Mile Foodie.

Your seasonal Sunday lunch will begin with a gorgeous glass of local bubbles flavoured with a delicious seasonal syrup such as elderflower, cherry, strawberry or rose, whatever the seasons specialty. Accompanied by canapes created by myself using local vegetables, herbs, seafood and meat, we are really spoilt for choice in this amazing food bowl that we live in.

Main course will be a true celebration of local and ethically farmed produce focusing on either the pig, sheep or beef. The Autumn menu will welcome in the shorter cooler days with rich fragrant braises, roasts and plenty of seasonal veg, Vegetarians are always welcome and will be catered for with something equally as delcious. Dessert will serve up an exciting end to Summer fruits whilst introducing Autumn delights and local Gippsland cream will almost always be on the menu. Main course will always be accomapnied by a glass of local Shiraz, Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, savouring the season, as always.

All this set on our deck under the gracious golden elm tree and in the newly completed 100 Mile Foodie Cooking school on the longtable set exclusiviely for 10.

We look forward to spoiling you with a true experience of local dining.
