Get ready to experience the vibrant flavors and lively atmosphere of Spain with our Spanish Tapas Cooking Class! Join us for an evening filled with culinary delights and the art of creating irresistible Spanish small plates.
Maria is the co-owner of Coastal Cocina, a project where we give people gastronomy experiences combining the best of the Spanish recipes and the best local produce from the Mornington Peninsula.
Maria is from a small village in the North of Spain, nestled between Spain’s largest and most renowned wine regions, La Rioja & La Ribera del Duero. Soria is the most famous destination for picking up mushrooms and growing truffles.
She spent her childhood assisting in her parent’s bar learning to recreate some of Spain’s most tempting delights that passed down generations. It is a pleasure being able to make people feel like they are in Spain for a few hours.
– Pan with tumaca and Serrano ham (we did it in the online class)
– Patatas Bravas
– La Boqueria chorizo cooked in cider or red wine
– Garlic prawns
– Pisto sauce with chickpeas (pisto is a kind of ratatouille that can be used for a lot of dishes)
– Traditional chocolate con churros
