Sourdough Bread-making workshop (Including Turkish Bread)

MakeBread sourdough classes are specifically designed with the home baker in mind. We teach in a simplified, easy to understand way, demystifying the sourdough bread making process and proving it to be a simple, satisfying and enjoyable affair.

Lunch will be included and of course sourdough bread will be served along with delicious local cheese.

Class Info

  • Class duration is 5 hours
  • The whole class is hands-on and you are actively involved in the process of bread making.
  • Lunch, Coffee/tea and tastings included

  • How to make sourdough bread at home and fit it easily into your schedule
  • Folding, shaping and baking techniques
  • How to maintain your sourdough starter or make it from scratch
  • How to make different bread products from the same batch of dough using specific shaping and baking methods
  • How to achieve the best baking results with a domestic oven

Dress Code & What to Bring

  • Casual, closed toe shoes. Aprons are provided
  • Please bring an old cotton/linen tea towel, and a bowl to take your loaf home for baking
